Wellness Wednesday

New Year’s Resolutions…we’ve all made them, but how well do we stick to them a few months into the new year? Start a healthy diet, workout daily, meditate, read a book a week, connect with old friends, be nicer to people, etc…but then we realize life can get in the way of meeting some of our goals and we feel like we failed ourselves. We need to focus on making daily decisions, changes and choices that will help create a happier and healthier life in the long-run and keep you sane in the short-term. Think of every positive choice or change as a baby step in the right direction. Start buying and eating real and nutritious foods and actively try to replace junk food or fast food, drink more water day by day (a gallon a day can be overwhelming at first), make it a point to make time for your workouts and don’t make excuses to skip or not go as hard as you can, set aside a few minutes a day to reflect on your goals for your day or the happenings of your day, schedule weekly calls with family or friends, make a schedule for family time every night after work. These are all examples of little things we can do in the immediate future, that can aggregate over time.

BACK SQUAT:  10 REPS x 4 SETS @ 90% OF BEST

 

WOD:

30  BURPESS EVERY 3 MINUTES x  6 ROUNDS

*MODIFY 20 BURPEES IF NEEDED
