THE MENTAL GAME

Instead of always talking about what you don’t want to happen
  • I don’t want to be the last one
  • I don’t want to miss that lift
  • I don’t want to have a mental breakdown like I did last time
  • I don’t want others to see me as weak
Think about and talk about what you do want to happen
  • I want to finish this workout with nothing left in the tank
  • I want to hit a big lift today
  • I want to be strong, capable and ready for any challenge that comes my way
  • I want people to see me as hard working
You need to always bring your focus back to what you want to happen and what you need to do to make that happen. Listen to yourself and how you phrase things, and make sure that you’re talking about what you want and what will happen
