DON’T WAIT FOR JANUARY 1ST
Don’t wait for January 1st to make resolutions that won’t make it past the Super Bowl. Its natural to want to set new goals for the new year. But resolutions made after the gluttony of the holidays and some questionable decisions made during that New Year’s Eve party make for hasty morning-after proclamations that are quickly abandoned.
Instead, start thinking about your goals now. Many of us consider the new year to be a fresh start, a new beginning. What do you want to accomplish in the coming year? Wipe the slate clean of 2012 shortcomings and decide where you will commit your time, energy and resources in 2013.
As you consider worthy goals, also think about why these goals are important to you. Remember, this is where you’re committing your time, energy and resources. If your goal isn’t important enough to YOU, it will be easy to resent any sacrifice you make and quickly lose interest. Make your goals intensely personal.
Don’t wait for January 1. Start thinking about your goals for 2013 now. Start planning now, and you’ll be ready to make 2013 your best year yet!
