Often times we tell ourselves, “I can’t,” “I’m not strong enough,” or “I’m not good enough” during a workout, but why? Why do we let negativity limit our physical and mental abilities? CrossFit is not only about getting in shape, it’s about learning how to push through your weaknesses and focus on what you CAN do, and what you have overcome. The CrossFit Games website posted this article about a woman who overcame her physical limitations of cerebral palsy to become a Level 1 coach and a CrossFit competitor. Even though¬†¬†“[she] may not be able to do every workout as prescribed, [her] effort will always be as prescribed.” So next time you are in a WOD, think about your will and desire to overcome your weaknesses and do not let them define you.
