I just want to congratulate each one of you for choosing to make your health a priority, and  committing yourself to a fitness and wellness program that not only changes you physically, but mentally. Each of you are so fortunate to have  a group of dedicated coaches and friends that are committed to your health and well-being. I was observing a diabetes education class yesterday, and as I was sitting listening to these patients’ stories, I was in disbelief about how much they did not know about their condition or about how to get healthier. One lady who was newly diagnosed, was living in agony because her blood sugar, now normalized, was lower than her body was used to. She lived with constant nausea, dizziness, and headaches. Most of these patients’ problems could be alleviated with exercise, even just the simple act of walking could help in reducing their use of medication and normalizing their blood sugar. Many lack a support group, and you are all lucky to have people here who care about you and your health. Never take your health for granted. You will always have to be vigilant about your diet and exercise throughout your life, but with CrossFit at least we can make this journey a fun one.
