Monday 2.18.13

We’re excited to announce a new twist to the next challenge! We’re going to offer the same formula that has been getting amazing results for our members with an added bonus. Tracey MacDonald will be joining me so that challenge participants get TWICE the support, even more individualized advice, and the ability to to reach very specific goals for our members with advanced body composition or performance goals. Tracey’s experience and accomplishments are going to be a HUGE addition to CDR’s food program and we’re excited to bring her on board.

The Spring Challenge will start toward the end of March. More details will be available soon!

For the first time, I’ll be doing the challenge along with the participants. Why now? Well I’m excited to benefit from Tracey’s expertise and I have to get ready for a big adventure. In July, Todd and I will be relocating. I’m happy to be passing the torch to someone who is going to add so much to the CDR experience. Tracey is an athletic nutritionist and IFBB Pro who has not only accomplished her own successful career on the stage, but trained countless others as well. From the person who wants to look good in their jeans to the individual that dreams of competing in a figure or body building contest, Tracey has trained the whole spectrum. Tracey has been competingĀ in bodybuilding, fitness and figure competitions since 2000. She earned her pro card status in 2010 and is an active member of IFBB.

I am, of course, very sad to be announcing my departure from CDR in the early summer. But those of you that know me, know that it would have to be a darn good reason to drag me away from this place I love so much. One of the things I’ve learned in my time at CDR, is that to accomplish my goals, I must be purposeful. Wellness means living thoughtfully – thinking about what you want to accomplish, identifying the steps it will take to get there, and then going for it whole-heartedly. When Todd and I started to think about our lives after his upcoming retirement, we thought about what is important to us – our health, time together, exploring, and being of service to others. In order to accomplish the life that we want, we’ve decided to move to Belize in July. We are excited, scared, and really really excited. I don’t think I could have taken this risk without learning the lessons of the last three years and the people at CDR have played a huge part in who I am today. I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunities I’ve been given, the people I’ve met, and the experiences I’ve had as part of the CDR family. I hope to take what I’ve learned and apply it in a way that you all will be proud of. But wait just a minute… this isn’t goodbye yet. You’re stuck with me for a few more months!

If you have any questions or thoughts about this transition, please share them with either me or Tracey. We are happy to share more information with you that just won’t fit in a blog post!
