Wednesday’s class to class battle is all about the costumes! We’re looking for the best dressed class!
Halloween is the first holiday that kicks off a season marked by food indulgences, which often turn into over-indulgences. Now is the time to start thinking about how you’ll navigate the office potlucks, kid parties, food gifts, family gatherings, cookie exchanges, etc. Which are truly special and memorable, and which occasions aren’t really worth ditching your clean eating habits and goals? Well, I’m going to suggest that Halloween candy is not worth it!
There is nothing really special or memorable about Halloween candy. It is the same candy you can eat any other day of the year. Just because they come in those cute little packages doesn’t make them any less damaging. In fact, those little guys can be pretty deceptive, allowing us to maybe even eat more than we would if we were faced with a normal size candy bar.
Some occasions and some foods are certainly worth the indulgence. And that includes some of the holidays and traditions that are quickly approaching. But Halloween candy doesn’t need to be on that list!
